Custom Drawstring Bags & Backpacks
Custom Drawstring Bags for Events, Schools and Promotions
A drawstring bag closes with a cord that doubles as the shoulder straps: nothing to zip, nothing to fasten, and it packs flat enough to ship a thousand of them to a start line. Sino Awards makes custom drawstring bags in polyester or nylon, in eight sizes from 15 x 20 cm to 55 x 60 cm, printed with your logo on the front panel. There is no minimum order, so a school sports day and a national race series can both be supplied.
The bag is the item an event buyer adds to a medal order, not the item they come for. Teams and race organizers order it in the same project as finisher medals, ribbons, race bibs and lanyards, and we produce, pack and ship the whole kit together. If you already order marathon medals or race bibs from us, the bags can be quoted into the same order.

Sizes: Eight Options, Chosen by the Buyer
All eight sizes are made on the same structure, so the choice is about what has to fit inside. The table below pairs each size with the use it is normally bought for; the "typical use" column is guidance, not a tested capacity rating.
| Size (W x H) | Typical use |
|---|---|
| 15 x 20 cm | Gift pouch, small giveaway, accessory bag |
| 20 x 27 cm | Children's giveaway, compact promotional item |
| 24 x 30 cm | School book bag, light everyday carry |
| 27 x 37 cm | Standard event bag, compact kit |
| 34 x 42 cm | Main event and gym size, the usual race kit bag |
| 40 x 50 cm | Team and club bags, larger kit |
| 45 x 55 cm | Large kit, shoes and towel |
| 55 x 60 cm | Bulk equipment, laundry, storage |
For a road race, the 34 x 42 cm bag is the one most organizers take: it holds a shirt, a bottle and a finisher medal without hanging past the hip. The 27 x 37 cm size suits 5K and school events where the kit is smaller, and the 45 x 55 cm and 55 x 60 cm sizes are bought for team equipment, shoes and laundry rather than for giveaways.
Materials: Polyester and Nylon
Polyester is the standard fabric for event bags. It is light, quick-drying and colour-fast, and it is the fibre that accepts sublimation printing, where the dye goes into the fibre instead of sitting on top of it. That is what makes a full-colour, edge-to-edge design possible on a bag: sponsor blocks, gradients, photographs and all-over artwork all print this way on polyester.
Nylon is offered for the same bag structure when the buyer wants a softer, stronger-feeling fabric. Both fabrics are cut and sewn to the same pattern, so the shape, the cord channel and the reinforced corners are identical; what changes is the hand feel and how the printed artwork is applied. If you are unsure which one suits your artwork, send the design and the team will say which fabric holds it better.
Printing and Logo Options
The bag is a printed textile product, so the decoration route is chosen from the artwork rather than the other way round. Three routes are used:
Screen printing
Solid Pantone colours and clean colour blocks. Sharp and opaque on fabric; each colour needs its own set-up, so it suits logos with a few colours rather than photographs.
Heat transfer
A pre-made design pressed onto the bag. Handles multi-colour artwork and fine detail better than screen printing, and is the usual route when the logo has several colours.
Sublimation
Dye enters the polyester fibres under heat, so the print has no raised feel and can cover the whole panel. The route for full-colour, gradient and sponsor-heavy designs.
For solid colours we match to Pantone references, which is what keeps a bag, a printed race bib and a medal ribbon looking like one campaign instead of three suppliers. Artwork is supplied as AI, PDF, EPS or CDR with fonts converted to outlines; if there is no finished artwork yet, the design team builds it from your idea and sends a free digital proof for approval.

How to Order Custom Drawstring Bags
Send your size, quantity and artwork to sales@sinoawards.com or via WhatsApp, and the team returns a quotation with a free digital proof showing the print area on the size you chose.
- Choose the size and quantity — the eight sizes are listed above; tell us the event date and destination.
- Send the artwork — AI, PDF, EPS or CDR with fonts outlined, plus Pantone references for the brand colours.
- Review the free digital proof — print area, colours, bag colour and logo placement on the chosen size.
- Production and QC — cutting, sewing, printing and inspection before packing.
- Packing and shipping — bulk for venue distribution or packed per kit, shipped by air express or sea freight.
Packaging and Shipping
Bags are packed flat and light, which makes them cheap to move per unit but not per parcel: freight is charged on the greater of the actual weight and the volumetric weight, so a carton of bags is priced on the space it takes up as much as on what it weighs. We quote the freight against the packed dimensions, the destination country and the shipping method, and list it with the quotation so the landed cost is known before the order is confirmed.
Shipping is worldwide — North America, Europe, Australia, Asia and the Middle East — by air express for events with a fixed date, or by sea freight where the date allows. Bags can travel in the same shipment as the event's medals, ribbons, race bibs and lanyards, which is usually cheaper than shipping them separately and keeps the whole kit arriving together.
Why Event Organizers and Brands Order From Us
We manufacture the bags ourselves rather than buying them in, which is why the size, the bag colour and the print can all be set to your artwork instead of picked from a stock list. With 18 years of manufacturing behind the range, production is planned around a fixed event date, and custom medals, ribbons, race bibs and lanyards are produced in the same house — one supplier, one colour reference, one shipment.
There is no minimum order, so the same bag can be ordered for a 200-person school sports day and for a 20,000-runner race series. OEM and ODM work is available for distributors, event agencies and brands that resell the finished kit under their own label.

Frequently Asked Questions
What materials are the drawstring bags made from?
Two fabrics: polyester, which is the usual choice for event bags because it is light, quick-drying and takes full-colour sublimation printing, and nylon, which is offered when a softer, stronger-feeling fabric is wanted. The bags are made in our own production rather than bought in.
What sizes are available?
Eight sizes, and you choose: 15 x 20 cm, 20 x 27 cm, 24 x 30 cm, 27 x 37 cm, 34 x 42 cm, 40 x 50 cm, 45 x 55 cm and 55 x 60 cm. The 34 x 42 cm size is the usual pick for race and event kits; the small sizes suit gift pouches and children's giveaways, the largest suits bulk equipment or laundry.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No minimum order. You can order the quantity the event needs, whether that is a small school sports day or a full race series.
Where is the logo printed?
On the front panel, centred, so the branding is visible when the bag is worn on the back. The artwork proof shows the exact print area for the size you choose, so the approved proof is the reference for production.
Can the bags be printed in full colour?
Yes. Solid Pantone colours are printed by screen printing, multi-colour designs by heat transfer, and full-colour or all-over artwork on polyester by sublimation. Send the artwork and the team recommends the method that holds the design best on the fabric.
Can I order bags together with medals, ribbons and race bibs?
Yes, and most event buyers do. Medals, ribbons, race bibs, lanyards and drawstring bags are produced as one project, packed together and shipped together, with one colour reference across the whole kit so the bag and the medal look like one event.
How is shipping calculated for bags?
Bags are light but bulky, so freight depends on the packed weight and the packed volume, plus the destination and the shipping method. Freight is listed with the quotation so the landed cost is known before the order is placed.
